Peter Hart (Sr.) was born about1740 and died about 1820 on Prathers Creek, Ashe County, North Carolina, now present day Alleghany County, North Carolina. He married in the 1860's to Dority "Dolly" ________ (born about 1745 and died between 1810-1820 in Prathers Creek Ashe County, North Carolina). Peter served in the Revolutionary War in 1781 from Montgomery County, Virginia under Capt. John Cox Company. He was the father of nine (9) children.
